2.5 V6 auto
Just zipping along a country road and overshot my turning.
Stopped fairly briskly and then into reverse (whilst stationary I hasten to add) ok, so then I gave her some welly and the rears squealed a bit before getting traction. Zoomed back a few yards and then stopped to take the turn.
I noticed that the TC light was on and wouldn't go off by pressing the button - only ignition off and restart for that.
I then tried it later in the day with exactly the same results, wheras going forwards the TC light seems to flash on and then goes off, but in reverse it comes on and stays on.
So, whats happening?
I'd like to add that this all took place in open country roads with nothing else visible.
TIA ,,,,,, Rob

Hehe, you confused it!
Don’t know though, sounds strange, I would think it would work exactly the same in reverse as it does going forwards :o

I'm going to try that sometime - If I get the same results I'll let you know!!

The ecu has detected it as a fault - I guess its only true designed to work going forwards...

I have a recollection of this many years ago and just ignored it :)

Didn't do it to me the other day when I tried... Although I didn't have a lot of space so only spun up the wheels briefly
