When the weather's wet, or even slightly damp, the knobs for the climate control get all sticky. This makes them very unpleasant to use. Can anyone recommend a good cleaner - or other solution - as I've had no success with the ones I've tried so far?
-
Well thats a new one!
I find baby wipes good at removing all sorts.
any idea what is making them sticky?
wd40 can remove sticky stuff, depending what it is, dunno if it would have any effect on printed bits though

Use glass cleaning liquids.
I had the same problem and nothing helped untill one of my uncle's workmen recomended it to me (and they do the new furniture sale and assembly)
But you must remember to after cleaning with glass liquid shampoo wipe it again with slightly wet rags

It's that poxy rubberised finish VX used, if the car interior is slightly damp the control buttons do sometimes feel 'tacky'. I reckon the glass cleaner tip sounds good as it's not so aggressive a cleaner. :y

not on a 97 omega.....

Do you mean that rubberised finish wasn't used, or I shouldn't use the glass cleaner?
-
He means the finish.
You can use glass cleaner.
I used it on mine without problems, and it was the only thing that worked.
just remember to wipe the plastic with some rags which were soaked in water afterwards to remove all of the residue of glass cleaner from plastic
