Title: Slight weep of oil from filler pipe
Post by: lou on 12 November 2009, 19:09:58
Recently my oil filler pipe has been leaking a slight bit of oil (Top of cam cover)and eventually has dropped onto the exhaust hence the smell occasionally. when removed and wiped everything is ok for a little while but then some oil appears again. the pipe itself does feel a little loose when correctly positioned..oh and I have tried just the filler cap but with the same problem. It appears that both "O" perhaps are worn. Is that feasible.
For Info: 1.Cam covers changed 15 months ago
              2. Ecotec box replaced and clean
              3. Breathers has clean as a whistle
              4. Vx oil used
              5. No other problems.

on some there is a spring inside that when you turn it, it will pull its self down on the rubber.
