Why I pick today to do my first car work in a while, god knows.. :-X
As far as I can see, I need to
-loosen sill cover to access the two bolts at the bottom
- remove single bolt at the top rear of the cill at wing mirror height
- remove bolts along the top and the bonnet strut and other gubbins
- remove trim below head lamp and remove bolts underneath
that all looks straightforward so far..
However there is a bolt at knee height on the rear of the wing. It looks like it is bolted from the inside of the wing -all I can see is a threaded end and a square flat bolt/washer type of affair (which I doubt I can get anything on to undo). How do I release that?
Then it looks like the inner wing liner has one plastic stud into the wing near the front. Do I just lever this out (will I break it?) or is there a knack?

Is it one of those studs that has a plastic peg pushed into it to make it open? If it is you can use a parallel sided punch (or the blunt end of a drill bit) to push the peg right through to allow the stud to close up again. If the peg/insert isn't pushed all the way in you can often pull it out with pliers (saves have to crawl around to find it later)
If it is one with lots of frills along it (can't think of a better way of describing it) they usually pull out and can be reused.

It's been a while since I changed one, the stud at knee height was awkward, but not impossible. I am sure someone on here has swapped a wing lately.

I swapped a wing on my Omega 6 months ago and I cannot remember any problems, was likely one of the easiest jobs I've ever done on a car.

It looked like a plastic nail head from what I remember.

Do you remember how you got at it - from inside the wing , or by somehow undoing the square flat nut on the back? Do I need to remove the liner completely?
