Title: auto box problem grrrrr!

i was on my way home last night & my g/box lost all drive, to what i can see its dumped all the ATF out, it werent funny being 140 miles from home stuck on the fosse way in the pitch black :'(, anyhow i remember this happening to somebody before but i cant remember what the cause was, can somebody please enlighten me,,,,cheers :y

well ive been underneath & cant see anything obvious [apart from atf everywhere :'(], im wondering if one of the rubber pipes have split, ive bought some atf so it looks like i`ll have to fill it up & see what happens :-/

blockled atf oil cooler? In rad IIRC, And hence burst oil line?esp if its oil line TOO the rad. (Or hopefully its just rotten.) Neighbours BMW E39 went the same way, on the m25. I beleive they do a flush for oil cooler, in an aerosol with a little pipe.....if its blocked of course.

cheers chris, i`ll have a look at that today after ive been to the physio, yup my luck just gets better dont it :(, i`ll take the filler plug out first & see whats left if anything, if it gushes out then it looks like the oil pump is FUBAR,please not another g/box change :'( :'(, i`ll be looking for any help if it comes to that due to my physical state at the mo doing it on my own would be near on impossible :(

my last cdx 2.5 did that it was the pipe that goes to the rad it was rotten and had to be  back lifted home 30 mille away took it to my local mechanic told him to price up a gearbox was convinced it was that rang me back it was the pipe says he rotton 50 sobs for job
new pipe and fluid

ive just been under the car & took out the filler hole bolt & got nothing, so i filled it up & started it,,,,, :'( :'( ATF gushing from the bellhousing >:(, obviously the box has got to come out but why should the oil seal give out as sudden as it did?, could it be a blocked oil cooler & if so what is the best way to check it.,,,cheers :y
