I did the cam covers earlier in the year but i did not use the o.e.m ones so you gussed it they went so last week got one side for vaxuhall and put it on the drivers side as that was the worst leak....checked to see if the passenger side was leaking and you gussed it it was. So i cleaned all the plugs and leads and rebuilt it (so i could go order the other side gasket) when i finished and started the car it ran like a bag of crap sounds like only running on 5 cylinders not 6 but no fault codes i stripped off the plenum again check the leads and rebulit no change....So i got the other side and did that yesterday and checked everthing over and rebulit double checking as i went started the car and still no change. So i left it and went out to it again today striiped it and fitted new plugs rebuilt and got no change but got a fault code 93 hall sensor voltage high (what ever the hell that means ????).
So i stripped it down again fitted new leads only because i had them anyway and was going to fit them at some point.....rebuilt it and started now i have got fault codes 93...73 (Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low) and 57 (Idle Air Control Voltage Low).
Now i'm stuck not sure were to look or what to look at. :-[ :-[ >:( >:( :( :(
Please anybody any idea's.

Check cables and connections to ICV, MAF and camshaft sensor(aka hall effect)
down by the front passengers side of the plenum in front of and underneath the ICV

Hi
You've probably allready checked but i left the brake servo line off after doing mine & it was awfull... (propper worried for the 4 mins or so that it took me to realise! :-[ ) - so yes prob a vac hose off - and it would also seem we have both suffered the fate of non VX cam gaskets... ! did you get your from ebay too?
Steve
(Sorry just read your post again realised your a snr member - I probably sounded a bit patronising)

Yes mate took the leads off one by one when i was swapping them over. I now have fault code 94,73,57 and i'm completey at a loss.....

any chance you have crimped / trapped any cable loom ?

Sounds to me like it's sucking unmetered air in... Check all vac pipes and check all the plenum o rings :y :y
Just to add... Ignore all the fault codes until you've checked all the above as it will throw random codes up (Trust me... I had the same problem!) :y :y
