Title: engine flush-td

due for an oil change, whats the general opinion re flushing the engine. :)

Can cause more problems than its worth best to do a few quick changes with VX semi synth seems to be the recommended procedure :y

as above, nothing really beats a good few short changes (say every 500 miles) x 3  :y

I wouldn't bother Ray .......

Got to agree with the other posters here. You can't beat a regular oil/filter-change regime - using Vx 10/40 semi-synthetic of course.

Mine (and Markseth's) get the treatment every 2500 miles - that's roughly twice per annum.

When I first got my tractor I changed the oil and filter, followed by 3 x 500 mile oil and filter changes. Then every 3k without fail. Oil looks like new and just coming up on a 3K change :y

Mine gets changed every 3K & it looks like mollasses after a week!!
