Your Auto will handle it, think the AR35 are good for about 250bhp, not that your going to get that increase from chipping it, budget for about another 10 or 20 bhp max, mine are chipped, cant honestly say its that impresive but seem to return better enconomy.

The two I have used are Superchips and Courtenay, although Im not sure I would reccommend the price they charge for them (never paid for mine).

Never tried the ebay ones, but thats not to say I wouldn't, there probally just copies of someone elses remap.

Why not give it a go and post up the results, there cheap enough.  :y

Failling that, keep your eyes open for these Mobile Rolling Road weekend units at shows etc, they somethimes do good discount on remaps and chipiing to get the numbers in and make the weekend pay for itsself.  :y

I put an ebay one into my tractor earlier in the year and to be honest, I have never had a problem linked with the chip, even after the butcher I had put the chip in for me.  Just though I would mention it considering youlooking at the them..  Plus mine was 70 quid I think...  a little bit cheaper than the 250 I have seen them for...

Well, the chip itself costs a couple of quid so they're still making plenty of money! They have probably just copied someone else's code (easily done as it's only an EPROM!).

As to the power claims - optimistic, I would say. There is a world of difference between chipping a Turbo Diesel engine where you can up the boost and get a worthwhile increase in power in comparison to a naturally aspirated petrol engine.

Gains in the latter case are much less (if measured honestly. It's very easy to fudge the before and after rolling road results so the punter goes away happy.).

You cant up the boost on thr 2.5Td with a chip, you cna only up the fueling  :y
