Post by: duggs on 13 December 2009, 21:14:50
Could someone please confirm the correct type pressures fo my 3.0 Elite running with 235/45/17 elcrapo tyres.

I didn't get a manual with the car.

I'd think tyre size would be more applicable than engine size!

I'm glad you posted the link cos I'd managed to  lose it :(  ;)

I think they use engine size as the "common denominator" of vehicle weight ... which is what the air pressure in the tyres supports   :)

If it wasn't bloody freezing and I've got me slippers on .. I'd pop out to the car and check my handbook ...  :)

run mine at 33 with the same wheel size and 3.2 saloon. Depending on tyres, use and feel, usually 30 to 34 for most people i guess? :-)

This site may help http://www.priamittyres.com/inflation_pressure_chart1.html

Doesn't list the common tyre sizes on Omegas - eg 235/45/17 or 225/55/16.

Only lists sizes available in Kampala, Uganda!!

Try a more modern and accurate UK one - http://www.dunlopdriversclub.co.uk/tyres/search/vehicle/  :y
