Has my 99/t elite got heated washer jets?
cheers
Wayne

Don't think so, think it's only on the facelifts, however I could be wrong! :-X
-
yes!
they turn on with the rear window + wing mirrors :)
-
as said, they are heated, but only the pipes are, to stop it all freezing, the water that leaves the jets is still cold.
The jets also easily bung up too, so a good mixture of screenwash is recommended.

Ah! Pre requisite for the washers to function whatever weather conditions with HID's i'm guessing?

If your lights are on, it washes them every time you give the windscreen a blast of water.

Yeh I know (had two Elites)! Amazing how quick you can get through 7 litres of washer fluid on the HID equipped cars!

I know, we have 1 Elite and 2 x CD's - Even in this really dirty road weather, the washer bottle in my CD lasts about 3 days on my commute.
When i borrowed the Elite on a fairly good day, i used the whole lot in a day :(

I'm buying washer fluid in 20L capacities at the moment! ;D
-
I guess I better check the washer level then as I aint touched it for couple of months. :-X
Then again, the warning on the MID hasn't shown up...

Is that the GM pure stuff? Its hard to get hold of, most dealers say they don't stock them any more :(

Nope. Been using Comma washer fluid, seems to be about the best i've found (the all season stuff is good on fly 'squash'), get it from local motor factors in trade size containers.
VX switched to Sonax products a while ago but can't say i've tried them.

Then again, I dont go too far in it, maybe 100miles a week at the moment?
Last time it was washed was start of October I think too ::) :-X

Im using the GM stuff at the mo, does seem better at cleaning flies off etc than the makro special I was using before
Screenwash
GM Opticlean all-seasons advanced formula screenwash concentrate offers safe, smear-free cleaning all year round.
5 litres 93165266 £6.60 £5.94 £4.35
I suppose just like washing up liquid etc....Fairy cleans much better than Tesco's own etc....
-
Jimbob....Whats the mix rate for that with water ?
-
erm....
a good splash ;D ;D ;D to a watering can
-
and the more accurate answer...
for -5 protection, 1:3
for -10 protection, 1:2
I probably use a litre to a full tank.
-
i am going 1:4, but on the Elite i would go 1:3

well you learn something new everyday, heated? well i will try it whn im out nexted as its been sub-zero for days now
