Title: headlamp washer nozzle
Post by: MV6Matt on 26 December 2009, 17:02:55
My Drivers side washer nozzle has mysteriously disappeared :(

Is re-fitting (assuming I get one this year) straightforward or does it mean taking off the whole f****ing bumper?  >:(
I have an Irmscher front bumper with the headlight trim attached to the bumper (with the hole for the washer nozzle on it) which is why I ask

Is washer nozzle disappearance common?

Cheers
Matthew

They push in from the front and yes they get nicked/pop off with the pressure. When you come to replace it I'd suggest a few spots of super glue before you do but make sure both halves are spotlessly clean and dry beforehand. :y

They can and do pop off this time of year when they freeze

They do also get stolen, but if its icy, that would be my 1st bet.

I lost one last year in the ice, but knew where I has washed, and found it in about 5 mins on the way home  :y

bit of glue doesnt hurt  :y

On the facelifts, they are about £35 a go primed ready for painting. Mind you I think they look OK unpainted.

Don't know anything about the nickability factor on facelifts though.

I wouldn't be surprised if it came off in the cold now that I've heard from folk. Trouble is I cant remember where it've come off.

Cheers anyway.

Super sticky freeze resistant glue seems to be the order of the day.................. ;D ;D
