nah i allowed it to settle and let her coast when it went bak to red but it was up there well to long  im well worried now man
Any sign of lots of pressure in tank?

The thing to do is examine pump, replace if necessary, and see what happens then.  Worse case is cracked head (common on bmw engines - all of which seem prone to overheating).

Note, if HG gone, the head cannot be skimmed

is pump easy to examine if worst case scenario "head cracked"==what can be done? this sounds expensive
Pump = yeah, easy

"turbo Diesel" plastics off
Viscous off
Aux belt off
4 bolts hold pump in

Cracked head = replacement head, HG and head bolts. rather heavy as well.

heavy! As in, cost? weight?  How does one go about such a job?
Gonad bustingly heavy. Cost of new head - depends on what you can find.

Worry about that when you know a new pump doesn't solve the issue

I have a spare pump if you want to try it?
I changed mine to cure overheating, but it was the rad, not the pump.
