Title: No communication from the ECU to the Scan tool
Post by: Pierreo on 04 January 2010, 21:25:02
Please assist me the mechanic says there is no communication from the ECU to the scan tool hence he is not able to pin point any fault now.
What could be the cause of this break (missing link) between the ECU and the scan tool.
12V Omega 2.0 Diesel. please  come to my Aid before he messes up with my Vehicle because a fuse popped up when he turned the ignition on to try stating and he just left it.

First off what 'scan' tool is he using? Geniune Tech2?

The 2.0 Diesel was very rare in the UK only ever seen 2! We usually get the 2.5 BMW diesel then the 2.2 DTi Vx unit.

I'd suggest joining some VectraB forums, they know more about that engine.

There is almost bugger all difference between the 2.0 and 2.2

I thought the 2.0 diesel in the Omega was 8v engine?- Or am i confusing it with the 8v petrol  :-/

The 2.2 DTi fitted post 2001 is much the same?  :o :o
