Title: Help! Noise from my 2,5 v6

Hi. has a bad sound in my 2.5 v6
Coming and going from the 2500-3000 RMP. The car has run about 99000 miles.
The sound came suddenly last winter. what can it be?
I have changed spark plugs ..
It uses a lot of fuel for a manual gear car to be about 50% more than factory spec shows.
Hope someone has suggestions on what might be the problem.

any idea what area of the engine its coming from?

What sort of noise?  Metalic?  High pitched, drone?

Nope.. Hard to tell with certainty ..
But I think the sound comes from the left side of the engine(seen from the inside).
It is a "Grrrrrrrrr" sound that comes to visit now and then ...
The strange thing about it is that it is only right at 2500-3000 rpm. then hang the gas a little when I switch gears.
Oh, I've only run with ultra fine oil. Agip Racing expensive oil, but I get it quite cheap ..
