Hey all:) quick question, I am about to replace my waterpump on my 2.5D (BMW) I'm just wondering what size torque socket do I need to save me buying a full torque set:)
Thanks in advance.

its a 10mm from memory?
Or are you talking about torque wrench?

No just sockets thanks.
Is there any other tools I need for this job before I start?
Thanks again:) so 10mm or T10 in other words?

T is torx. Not got a TD now, but sure it was 4 x 10mm bolts holding pump in place.
8mm to remove pully.
13mm (?) to remove pressure from tensioner.
32mm (?) to remove fan.
Hopefully someone can confirm sizes, as I'm going from memory

Sorry I meant torx! Falling asleep here worrying about my car! Thanks for the info really appreciated:)

Usually VX tensioners are 15mm but being a 'foreign' engine it might not be.

torx not often used on that BMW lump - its mostly standard metric bolts.

Sorry just to confirm it's a 10mm torx? Or regular socket? Thanks:)

Anyone as I'm about to start!

10mm 'regular' type socket, Eric.
Personally, I use a 1/4" square drive set to do this job.
