Title: New pollen filter
Post by: SP_3.2 on 11 January 2010, 10:23:30
Picking up a new one just to check and make sure , old one feel,s fine and dry but is fuffy on one side ....would that mean it had it. Found about a cup full of water in the scuttel drain which was cleaned and has been good since. Also on my old one there is a arrow for air flow.

Should the arrow point to the inside of the car or the outside.

Thanks all

Steve.

Arrow should point towards the inside of the car. I had the same with mine, was a bit fluffy so just stuck a new one in. It made a big difference, for the sake of £14 or whatever it is I do it on all Omega's I've got.

I think your 3.2 should have a 'carbon filter', in any event the 'air flow' is into the car.

Good point  :y Getting a bit of misting on side windows which is a pain this time of year. Think the old one got a bit damp with even only a tad bit of water in it.

Off to the seller at lunch then ::)

How do you access the pollen filter in a facelift?

I haven't actually looked at mine all the time I've owned the car, gulp.  :-[

Facelifts will start turning on recirc all the time, due to air quality sensor (which is why facelift needs carbon filter)
