Syd has been parked up for a few weeks due to the snow and ignition barrel failing. As the snow has melted today Ive noticed I have 2 flat front tyres :o :o any ideas :-? 1 will inflate but other will not except any air. So I have finally got the barrel back in but still cant drive my car :'( :'(

What are you trying to inflate the tyre with?............. and don't say air :D If the tyre is off the rim it will need a short high pressure burst of air which you won't get with a foot pump or tyre inflater
-
as tony says the tyre could be off the rim try jacking the car up off the flat tyre and try to inflate
-
ok thanks, I am just using a tyre inflater and to be honest not a good one at that ::) will jack it up tomorrow and try again before changing it. Why would they both go down :( I live in remote spot so not kids :-/ could the cold weather do something to the valve :-?

old air. and cold.

Doesn't need to be kids - I have had a double puncture before, probably on my way from work and not known about it till the next day when both were flat. (tried turning them until the flat bit was at the top but it was no use) :D
I remembered this one from my old army winter warfare exercises donkeys ago!
Try taking the wheels off the car and getting them warmed through in the house, or fill the bath with hot water to almost tyre rim height and rotate it till the tyre is warm then try to inflate it. Don't forget to rub some washing up liquid around the tyre bead to lubricate it first.

Try to get one of your m8s to take them to a garage for you, inflate them and bring them back to you might be worth a try.

The RAC/AA/GreenFlag recovery service????
Found out myself that those electric tyre inflaters are more a gimmick than useful most of the time. Even the old double barrelled foot pump was more efficient.
The best method would be to remove the tyre valve and inflate until it reseated on the rim but I doubt if the electric inflater has the guts to do it.
