Title: Swirl Flaps for the 2.5 D
Post by: marribo on 19 January 2010, 20:57:20
Hi, we have been making swirl flap blanks for the BMW engines fitted with swirl flaps and have them for sale on ebay. My question is how many people have had issues with swirl flaps on this forum? I guess most of the Omegas are Auto so they have the larger size flap. Does anyone have a photo they could send me of one of the flaps?

Many thanks for your help and if you need any blanks and or a guide on hoe to do the modification drop me a PM

PS great forum :)

Don't think this applies to Omega TD engine, so not needed.

Think they are fitted on the later engine and not on the Omega, they cause loads of trouble.

Only fitted to multivalve diesels.....and the UK 2.5TD was not the later multivalve variant.....but was available in europe

Pete, the setup on the 2.2 is one of the most reliable out there beleave it or not and if the EGR was out of action, then they would be even better!

Yeah sorry Mark, I should have put the later 2.5 engine.
