Title: auto box help

i added a thread here the other day regarding my auto box and was told to check the levels of the fluid just in case,is there a dipstick to check as there is as with oil or do i have to undo the filler on the gearbox itself to check?if there is a dipstick where is ot located as i cant see it!!many thaks all :y

There is no dipstick for the gearbox.There is a nut on larger gearbox sump drivers side. To check levels have the car on a flat surface with engine runing then remove the nut . Oil should come out as nut is removed. This is also where you top up if this is not the case.

its a frustrating job tbh  i hated filling the box up after replacing my gearbox as there aint much room but i got half way through and used a bit of 3meter hosepipe and held one end in whilst a mate squeezed the atf bottle. we did half a liter at a time but it still frustrating,,, have fun !

i thought same thing as i brought a omega 2 weeks ago with a blown g.box and i was looking in engine bay for ages for dip stick only to realise i was the dipstick looking for something thats not there lol
