Title: Heating problem

Hi new to this.....

I have a 2001 Omega MV6, for some reason the heating has stopped working in the car, all the controlls work fine, fan speed, temp selections etc, and the car warms up to the correct temperature, but no hot air in the car. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks :0

Hello and welcome mate.
Had the same problem, so i gave the heater matrix a really good flush out, spent a while on it making sure that it was running clear, then i did a coolant change, again giving it a really good flush through.
It solved half of my problems, only had heat on the passengers side, which i then discovered from members on here that one of the motors which move all the flaps around had popped  of its arm, and that is another thread for you to follow,but it did cure it.  ;D :)

Just to test the operation of the HBV, remove and plug the Vacuum pipe from the top of it and see if you then get heat :y :y

I have same problem, have changed HBV and been assured that matrix is OK and all sensors working, going into 3rd garage on monday so will let you know outcome. Having gone through the general help section previous problems seem to relate to patial or only warm heating as opposed to none at all, I've frozen for a month now!

Flush the matrix out both ways a good dozen times. Flush the whole system while you're at it and top up with fresh anti-freeze and bleed the system out properly.

Also check that the vacuum is working for the HBV, pop the pipe off and switch between hot and cold. You should feel quite a strong vacuum on cold ;)

Yes a bit far, use to live in Cannock wish i still did!! Where is this valve that i need to check, sorry for being so Dumb!!

Back of the engine bay, under the scuttle... Looks a bit like the starship enterprise :y :y

You'll struggle to see it on a V6 but you can feel it easy enough. Follow the top matrix hose and you'll get to it, the vacuum hose is the tiny thin pipe just above it on the rubber elbow ;)

Cannock would be easier for me :P
