Hiya,
I have been quoted for mine for a quick preparation and then topcoat and laquer (Diamond Black) for 800 notes.
They said if I was prepared to do the rubbing down myself (wet and dry), do any filling required, take off as much trim as I could and mask it as much as possible they would do it for 600 inclusive. Roll on good weather and it will go there.
Other places have floored cme with between 300 (must be a cac job) to near 2 grand!
Best bet is to look around in your own area and explain what you are prepared to do youyrself. Don't forget to ask previous customers though - if the sprayshop is genuine they should not refuse you a few names. Some even have a before and after album.
Regards
Cris

I really wouldn't bother, I would sell the existing car and put the money for a respray towards a newer one :y

Fair enough.

The bodywork is dent free but scabby as. The laquer's top coat is scuffed on the bonnet, the drivers door and passenger door are rusty around the edges. The boot handle has rust around it and there's a scab on the passenger door.  :-/

But the engine is perfect, interior is tidy and not that bloody fake wood either, so I don't wanna get rid of it for those reasons alone. My last mig had the complete opposite, gearbox/engine/springs had gone, but the bodywork was perfect! I should have combined the two before I sent it to the scrappers.

Lets hope I get shunted or sideswiped at some point and I can get a cheap transplant, haha. Anyone fancy synchronising watches at a busy junction? (joke!!)
