pls need your advice. have exposed boot lock & all seems to work except the boot handle itself. when i pull as to open a switch type thing it looks as if its meant to push a bar down hence springing mechanism. its not. there is no downward movement when i lift the boot opener the piece thats meant to activate everything by pushing down is not. i can operate it manually, but the boot not opening still remains once shut. :) hope this makes sense Lee :y

That is because the handle is locked or broken internally hence no movement, can you disconnect the bar and open the boot by pushing that in a similar direction?

yes Lee i can work it manually from inside. luckily i know of a few scrappers locally for bits ; thanks for your input :y :y :y
