Search the forum for Eternal or Eternalcar exhausts... Kevin wood has fitted one and they seem OK... About £135 for a full (cat back) system IIRCC

The thing with the Eternal exhausts is that they are reasonable quality as well as being about as cheap as you can find.

They are actually about as good as you'd get from a main dealer these days since VX stopped selling genuine OEM quality parts (but didn't lower the price!).

Exhausts from a factor might well end up being at the Timax / Bosal end of the quality spectrum, which isn't as good.

I think my Eternal one was with me in 2 or 3 days - from Germany. :y

I was wondering why me exhaust note was sounding throatier than usual (I liked this lol)
so I look underneath today and the pipe where it joins the end silencer has rusted and broken  :o

Am I looking at a similar lay out in £?
I don't think I can fit whatever sections I need myself.

If the middle section(s) are still good you can just remove the back box by unzipping it at the join with an angle grinder.  Not a hard job but be careful of the inner section within.  I replaced mine this way with Eternal 2 years ago and it still look as good, externally.

Kwid Fid say it'll be £220 fitted, so a local independent might be slightly less still.

Judging from this forum, and by looking under the car at the weekend, it seems to be a key spot for them to go - I noticed that when I park up hill, the water drains right onto  :-?that join!

Similarly - my rear box is performing a purely cosmetic function at the moment.
I've looked at the Eternal website and must admit I'm a bit confused as to which 3 sections I need to order from here (2 middle, 1 back with twin pipe if possible) - the descriptions don't seem to cover 2.6/3.2 saloon for 2003. Do any of you have the right ref numbers for each of these - has anyone had experience of a 'sports' back box at all ?

Cheers
Ian.

Not everywhere does the system for the 2.6/3.2 as I found out when shopping for mine (could not find it in many catalogues like Bosal etc.). You can buy the Eternal system for the 2.5 - the only difference is that the back box pipe is a twin pipe, and it is slightly shorter than the oval one on the original GM unit. A reputable motor factor near me can get the 2.6 system for £135, but was unsure of the quality - as many on here agree, the Eternal units are probably the nearest you'll get to the original GM fitment. National Tyres were wanting £373 for the centre pipes and back box fitted! Longlife were offering a stainless job for less than that! :y

Hello all,
I'm having the same problem in deciding which parts i need for the 3.0 Elite estate. There are three different centre silencers on Eternal. The site is not that user friendly.

Any ideas?

Call them, or send email via ebay (bought mine via ebay, as I get cashback that way (via cashbackkings), and in addition, Ebay points (Ebay loyalty scheme).  I found them very helpful.
