will i need the key to take out the barrel  that i need to swap for my own  barrel  :-/

you need the key to be able to turn the barrel to release the pin and stop the tumblers from falling.

its the boot lock (forgot to say :-[). but been back to scrappy & got the key. barrel still dont wanna budge. :y
