Title: engine water circulation

hi all thanks to those who helped me with my last problem with head gasket ive been runinng it on idle running abit lumpy and is running on all 6 cylinders not sure what is causing that .its got all new seals and gaskets and another thing i have noticed is theres a thin water pipe that comes from the back of the engine to the manifold and it comes out the other side and goes to the expansion tank those 2 pipes stay cold as theres no water flowing through them at all im assuming theres ment to be water has any had this problem i look forward to hearing from u
