Aaarrgghhhhhhhh
had my stereo replaced with a nice Alpine model 4 months ago, just realised i still had the 6 disk magazine stuck in the CD changer, i see the light is still on the CD changer itself, but when i press Eject, nothing happens, how the hell do i get the magazine out?
-
press eject again...
-
done that mate, about 5 times lol
-
OK, you need to borrow another car with ccr600 radio, and plug your cdc into their loom (they will need your cdc security code)
-
dont know anyone mate, why cant i get the damn thing out, Grrrrrrrrrrrr
-
I found unplugging it for a few hours, then reconnect, eject then may work
mine did this at the end of its life, and that often helped, otherwise could be 50 odd presses of eject to get it out.
-
Try a big hammer, that will do the job ;)
-
nope, just tried to get it out after reconnecting the power to it, the eject lights just flashin, tried to stick a knife in to it, its locked fast, rather pile of shite!!!
6 cds in it!!!!!
pressed eject a billion times, held it down a few times, NOTHING!

Yep, Hammer Time :) :)
-
a hammer wont cure this, it will just smash the magazine up and damage the CDs inside
never known a piece of crap car like this before, how dumb is this!!! press eject and NOTHING!
-
Take the changer out, remove the 4 x torx screws holding the top cover on. Loosen the 6 phillips head screws on the silver figure 8 shaped piece and lift it up a little at the carriage end and it'll pop out. Just a case of reassembly then :y
-
OR, put a thin blade (4mm) in and under the bottom of the magazine, twist it so the 'plastic pin' can be scene, then pull the magazine out.
Had problems with a number of them.
