Title: washer system
Post by: stuvaux on 02 February 2010, 21:31:41
Hi,

I am having trouble with the windscreen washer system on my miggy.
Both front and back are not working. The motor is working fine....i put it in some water and it came out fine. The pipes dont seem to be blocked as I could blow thru them....just!
Any ideas on what to check?

Thanks,
Stu

there is a gauze in the washer bottle, take the motor out from the tank (water will pour out) the hole the pump sits in, has a lip, pull this, it will pull up, and out.

Its a gauze that filters the cr@p out of the water, it often gets blocked  :y

Nope, they can get disgusting  :o

Some bl000dy monkey decided to cut out the gauze on our 3.0 Elite  >:(

I found using an old cup in the garage, filled with boiling water, drop it in, leave for a bit, take it out and blow. (oooo errr  ;D)

Crap is usually caused by using cheap washer additive or washing up liquid :(

Use a decent additive at the right concentration and the problem seems not to ocuur.. :)
