Post by: venge on 04 February 2010, 12:24:24
I am needing a front o/s shock absorber for a 1999 2.5 V6 CDX, nearly fell through the floor when i saw the price of a new one. Does anyone have one kicking around that they are not using? i will happily buy it from you

If anyone has one, please get back in touch asap

Cheers

Check the 'bits for sale' forum for cars being broken, I'm sure there will be some there. Although I think you will be advised to replace both fronts at the same time, and with new ones!

You should be needing a pair if you want the car to remain safe ;)

As my previous post was not very constructive, here is a bit more info.
Its generally thought of as a bit of a no no to replace just one side of the cars suspension once wear has taken place as replacing one side only theoretically leads to an uneven set up.This can cause instability/uneven breaking etc.(basically not as safe as it should be)However in practice its done a lot and is not illegal. If your pocket will only stretch to replacing one shock to get the car back on the road then who am i to judge though i would prefer not to be driving on a road near you.
