13mm nut at bootom of each wiper arm. Undo but do not remove fully. You then need to wiggle the wiper arm a lot and pull to remove it from the taper. Don't worry about it flying off, thats why you left the nut on!

A spray of plus gas and leaving it for 15 minutes to work its' way in is a good policy. Also, grease the splines when reassembling to make it easier next time.

If they are really stuck you can get a special puller from most motor factors.

Put strips of masking tape on the windscreen to mark the positions of the arms before you remove them. Takes the guesswork out of working out which splines they align with when you put them back.

push and pull by the hinge while pulling the spline end, they can be stubern but just keep going they will come free.

note, even when loose the spring on the hinge will keep the arm locked on the splines, you need to apply pressure on the hinge to get the arm to come off.

Basickly your useing the arm as leverage to loosen it. hth

Just done the self same job.   Euro car parts £3.50'ish. I had to buy one to get the wiper arms off. Alternatively search on Ebay they are described as "Battery Terminal Pullers"  :yand work on wiper arms too.
