Title: hi everyone newbie here. engine oil leak

hi just brought 99 v6 2.5 irmsher manual . lovely car but has a oil leak from the back of the engine. is leaking on to the exhaust. not rocker covers as was only done 1,000 miles ago.
any idea`s?

worth stripping down to check the oil cooler pipes, also rear crank shaft seal  :y

Do you know if the breathers were cleaned at the same time? If not these can cause premature failre of the cam covers, especially if they were pattern parts and not genuine Vx. Also they could have been over tightened, they only need to go down to 8nm as they are plastic cam covers. I'd have a word with the seller and ask those questions first :y

will have a look in the morning. drove it home today done 100 miles in it.
