Title: Own up
Post by: Elite Pete on 19 December 2007, 22:19:08
For the last few months my wife has been constantly on at me to put some of this male moisturizer stuff on she has bought me and just for a quiet life I have started to put it on. Does anybody else put the stuff on or are you all to manly? :)

seriously ,I work outside and in winter the elements take their toll and I get dry skin(mainly on my hands),I have used Moisterisers in the past and will again in the future when needed,As far as Male designed ones Ican't see the point in spending extra money as they are probably no diffrent to the cheap ones :y

I'm a man and I'll admit to nothing  :-X

But I do use aftersun all year round - cos it's cheap (like me) comes in a big bottle (so it never runs out) and does the same job as your male mosturiser, aftershave balm or any such product.

There's a name for your sort though iirc.........what was it now..........err.............. shemale.....no.......manwhore..........no.........oh that's it you're a .............oh bugger I can't remember it  :P

Absolutely... I use lip balm in winter as my lips get dry enough that they can crack and bleed otherwise. Similarly moisturiser after shaving, as my skin has detested being shaved ever since the first time it came into contact with a razor, and no razor brand or foam seems to help -- I always come out like a beetroot afterwards. So the moisturiser calms it down much better than any "aftershave" does.

I just buy the bog standard stuff... none of this "for men" crap. I figure that if there is actually any difference between the two the girls' stuff is probably better being that they're far more picky and astute about these things!

absolutely - Clinique for men. Its expensive dont you know, can get 4 for 3 semi synthetic vx oil on trade cheaper than clinique moisturiser  ;D

I use some handcream I stole from a hotel sometimes after I've washed my hands with that stuff with bits of pumice in it.  I find it leaves them very dry and skin starts to peel after a while.

You don't need to fork out for all these designer labels.

Plain old 'Aqueous Cream B.P.' at £2.99 for a 500 gm pot is
just the job.

I cottoned on to this when SWMBO and daughter both got recommended it,
and used it, to soothe out their post cancer radiation treatments.
It's brilliant stuff, and being water based, it soaks right into the skin
and rehydrates it whilst moisturising and taking away any reddening
or burning.

£2.99 for a 500gm pot, eh? Makes a mockery of these designer label prices.  :y
