Title: Pollen filter cover
Post by: DaveA on 17 February 2010, 15:38:32
Hi
I'm trying to clean passenger side drain under the pollen fliter, but cannot get the cover off, cannot release it from under the windscreen rubber, do not want to do damage.
Have read the post on cleaning, all they say is remove cover, not how. [smiley=grin.gif]

Assuming not been done, peal back the rubber to show the plastic clips that then need half a turn. I hope that helps

No stop !
Open the bonnet, look where the windscreen wiper spindles stick through the rear plastic scuttle, just in front is a piece of rubber edging runs from left to right, on the passenger side remove the rubber edging, that will allow the flap in the plastic scuttle to be lifted, look down and the pollen filter is against the bulkhead, it's held in by a clip at each side, move the clip, the filter can be removed. Good luck

Sorry if thats the wrong way of doing it but it gave me plenty of room under the cover without trying to balance it out of the way, just wish I had thiner forarms as they are now cut all over from digging out the years of crap that had built up in there.
