Well, here's a starter. I've got some of the part numbers to hand, as it happens:
Spark Plugs 9195868 x 6
Oil Filter 9192425
Pollen Filter 93165208
Aux Belt 93181720
Cam belt kit (Depends on engine number - VX prices not competitive)
10w40 Semi Synthetic oil (6 litres required - deal on 20 litres if you've got a trade club card)
Long Life coolant (pink) 5 litres required
Water Pump
Thermostat
Coolant transfer pipe.
All I can think of at the moment :-/

Didn't James give you a shopping list?
I would be doing the fuel filter too if we're doing a full service. I'd also change the door check strap bushes on any new Omega.
Sump plug oring - maybe just get a spare plug in case the original is knackered.

Aux. Belt tensioner pulley was also reported as being noisy. Might be possible to re-grease depending on condition but as you've got a long journey ahead I'd just replace it.
A can of carb cleaner to clean out the breathers is always a good idea. :y

if your getting all this from a dealer i would strongly advise getting a trade club card from "autobahn stormers" car club, its £20 and a couple of days in the post. Show the vx parts man the card at a participating dealer and it will give you access to trade prices, a considerable saving on retail, esp if your buying that little lot. ;)

If you PM your shopping list to Andy C he may be able to give you trade club prices.

onherown, you need to check the previous papers ..
you may also need fuel filter and brake fluid change..
and also check brake pads and front discs..
sorry James ;D :y

Di - I said I'd get you a full list of parts I need to sort your car by lunchime and send it via PM - which I have done - no need to confuse yourself by asking other people for lists on here ;)

she is making a free advertisement , good idea imho ;)

I am not going to say you might as well do the camcover gaskets as a precaution whilst you have it all in bits.
-
I think the idea is to work to a tight budget, hopefully ensuring the breathers are clean will be enough of a preventative measure on that score
Anyway, if ever the CC gaskets failed later down the line, it wouldn't take me 5 mins to pop some more on there :y

Only jesting of course,if i ever move house i think i want to live near you.
