I'm sure someone has covered this before, so I apologise if this is an already answered question.
My temp runs as normal on the guage, but no heat in the car (Elite 3.0 est) giving the climate control only cold air. Am going to put in flushing liquid to try to clear up a bit, but am told only half the water will come out. Have a new thermostat and water pump if needed, but told its a B*stard of a job to do, and I don't have much time to fettle myself.
Can anyone advise me?
Thanks.
Mike.

check your heater valve hasn't been connected straight to vacuum.

Have you tried resetting the system.
Turn the ignition key to standby and press and hold the auto and off button together. You will be able to hear the system resetting itself. Hold for about 15 secs then start the car and see what happens. It worked on mine :y

I found a fresh water flush did almost nothing to improve my heating - or even several, in opposite directions!
I gave mine a soak with kettle descaler. This helped in that tepid air is better than stone cold!
In the meantime, switch your aircon pump off. At least you'll not be getting chilled air!!
I'm bracing myself for a heater matrix change! There's a thread here for doing it through the o/s footwell.

Its not a guarantee'd fix....but a good, and free starting point.
especially if the car has had oil cooler failures, or radweld etc used in the past. Doesnt take much to block em.
My car lived on radweld for a while, and still suffers the consequences with the matrix, a flush has warmed up many peoples heaters :y
