Today I started my cambelt and thermostat change, and came across an obvious fault that has possibly been there since I got Miggy. When I came to remove the multi ram unit there's what I think is an ECU current operated diverter valve, to control the vacuum operated multi ram throttle control. The query I have is as the vacuum supply pipe was disconnected (the rubber connector sleeve was'nt present)So no vacuum supply. This means I think that the ECU has been unable to operate the multi ram system. So my big question is. Why no TCs?? Or is this a fault not covered by TCs. There is also possible faults caused by low vacuum in the rest of the vacuum system. I hope I've managed to explain it OK.Anyhow looks as if I can look forward to some improved performance levels.Just need a rubber connector sleeve or elbow. :y :y :y

The lack of TC's is an easy one to answer.
The ECU is an electrical device and it can sense the presence of the electrical part of the solenoid which I guess is all ok.
To sense the lack of vac due to a split pipe would require further pressure sensors, wires, connectors etc which adds cost and unnecessary complexity.

Thank you Mark, I did wonder if that would be the answer,I'll wait and see how it goes when Miggy's up and running again :y :y :y
