Anyone with a tech2 can do it ... and the forum has tech2's in Nottingham, Brackley and Winchester ... :)

and that will be how to RESYNCH it .... which won't actually work !!!
Instructions will say .. key in ignition, switch on, press lock, unlock, lock, unlock, car should lock and unlock each time. Remote will now work normally.
Probably will .... but it won't actually start the engine until the immobilisor chip is programmed via a tech 2 .. :)

Yeah i thought that too...But you confirmed it mate.....Good aye they... ;D ;D ;D ;D

make sure its the 105 blade, and correct fob for you particular Omega.
Also note that tech2 cannot do IR style fobs
-
Can't the chip be added with an "My Naff Code Reader" aswell?

Don't think that's entirely true.
My old 2.5 needed a new key and after a LOT of messing about I found out there are 2 types of immobiliser on the '94 / '95 migs with the IR keys. One has immobiliser only; one has immobiliser and alarm. On the former you plug the tech 2 in and then just point the key at the thingy in the roof. On the latter you need a code too.
Actually, thinking about it I think it only worked with new keys. I don't think you can reprogram old IR ones.

All sorted now....My mate dismantled both fobs and re soldered them both.....Alls well in Bertie land at the mo..... ;D ;D
