Hello all
I am in a pickle once more lol
Yesterday I started my 3.0 moggy and it started to splutter, appearing to missfire and struggle. I have just done the paper clip test and it comes up with two codes 12 and 31.
I cannot find a fault that matches 12, but i did find that 31 is no engine rpm signal.
Can anyone advise me as to what could cause these faults so I can have a crack at sorting it out.
Many thanks

12 is just start of codes being read. 31 is no RPM from memory. was the car running when you paperclipped. HTH

No rpm ..... your engine was stopped! ;)

code 31 with car not running is normal :yI know very little about petrol engines, with there being no codes to worry about,i would be looking at spark plugs ,leads dispack :yaswell as checking for air leaks /vacuum leaks
