Right awhile ago my battery died. 1 week later alternator died.
Now about 3 weeks later, change the spark plugs, they dont look that bad except no4 is oil covered, turned out that it have to washers on it some how. Anyway changed it and started it up.
No the battery light is on bright and if i rev car it gets very bright and if rev high enough it blows. Car engine does sound a little different slight wine although dont know if that was there before and just didnt notice it.
Any ideas? Cheers need to know if it something simple as need to fix asap

maybe a short in the charging circuit, may be a bad earth or a wire traped.

Not really sure about this mate, but that sounds like some kind of regulator has gone, but no doubt someone will correct me. ::)

Googling it seems that it might be over charging which then blows the bulb?
Does that sound likely?

Put a volt meter across the battery terminals and get someone to run the engine up to 2000RPM and note the voltage. Post the results on the forum. IIRC shouldn't be more than 14'ish volts? any higher and you may be cooking the battery. Unfortunately what you describe sounds like a dodgy rectifier inside the alternator IMHO.

Possibly a bearing failing in the alternator .........
I'd be checking the charge-rate first though. :y

As above, check charge rate http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1225724099
Whine could be alt. bearing as suggested, or aux. belt slipping due to failing tensioner pulley. My guess re; ignition light is failing/failed voltage regulator. http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1153772945

sounds like regulator is dead.
