Title: gearbox prob

hi all , got aproblem with my ar25 gearbox auto
 its ok when driving for a while ,then it kinda goes in to limp mode ,i loose the sports and winter mode and it pulls of very slow .
 if i turn car off and lock and unlock then leave it a little ,it drives ok with the buttons working ,
 any ideas plz as its doing my head in

hi there you need to get the codes read and to do right with a tech 2,being where you are your close to(the boy) so if you pm,d him he could help you out or if you have a reader or know of anyone with one its worth a try..i was lucky that a cheap reader pin pointed my fault which was sensor related but the cheap readers dont read gearbox ecu so being where you are id pm the boy unless someone erlse has an idea :y

Selector lights working OK. :question "Spanner" light coming on (permanent or sporadic) :question

ps check your atf level beforehand,if you dont know how ask again :y

 yes lights are ok and no spanner light on dash  :y

As "Hercules" says. Ideally need codes read. Possible culprit could be cam sensor. Not necessarily a gearbox fault needed to throw it into "limp"

you can try oakdenes colwick it is about £20 all they deal in is auto boxes took my there was very helpful
