Title: Urgently need help...
Post by: Psychoca on 15 March 2010, 17:33:55
I am in the process of changing the clutch on my 2.5 TD...

I cannot see how to disconnect the hydraulic clutch pipe...

I can see no clips or nuts or anything on the pipe, I have removed the inlet manifold, the plastic weather guard and scuttle cover and wipers in order to increase visibilty and access, took the opportunity to clean out the well over due scuttle drain...

I have tried dropping the gear box, but don't have the clearance to work on the clutch...

Really need to get the pipe disconnected deparately...  Help please...

Well, I have just gone through the TIS manual again and I have discovered what the clip looks like...

Why couldn't I find it, because it is concealed nicely behind the rocker cover, so nice and accessable....

The good thing is, as soon as I remove that clip, I'll get the gearbox straight out... :D

Out of curiousity, did I make the right decision removing the inlet manifold???   Mostly done in order to access the 2 19mm bolts on the back of the block...

Yes, nearly impossible to reach without, unless you have arms like a newborn.
