-
Sounds like you have got a Y22XE engine
-
Y22XE I believe? Or is it Z22XE :-[
-
Isn't the engine code part of the engine number (as shown on the registration document)?
-
Thought it said it on the ownership document??
Edit: Damn, beaten to it lol
-
yeah either Y22 or Z22. The engine type doesn't appear on the log book.
If you PM me you reg number i'll PM back the type and serial number
Cheers

IIRC post 2001 had the Z22XE
-
I was thinking that aswell Rob :y
The early one's were the Y, whereas the later one's were the Z. My 2002 '02' 2.2 CDX was a Z22XE. And two seperate sources confirmed for me in the past when the cambelt was due replacement, that early one's were Y and later one's were Z. So if my '02' plate was a Z, it would stand to reason a '52' must also be the Z22XE.

Any the only real difference between the 2......is the ecu.....and a 1mm larger diameter inlet

almost 100% you've got the Z22XE engine :y
