Hi All
Im contemplating buying a vehicle with full lpg kit on it, but know nothing about lpg.
What ests can i run when inspecting the vehicle that will indicate how good the system is, should there be any documentation / certificate etc?
TIA :)

look for injector points on the plenum, if its got anything on the bagpipes/airbox its a mixer system. Which is not as good as the Sequential system.
Should have a certificate, though not strickly needed for insurance.

Also have a look at how the system has been installed. The wiring to the injectors will have to have been intercepted somewhere, and an extra ECU fitted. Just see how good a job has been done of this. Neatly spliced wires with heat shrink and neat and sensible cable routing is a good thing, loads of insulation tape and a generally messy installation is not. The heater plumbing should have been diverted to flow through the evaporator so see what sort of a job has been done on that too.
Drive it on both fuels and see how it runs. Check for EML/Emissions light that has been disabled to cover up bad tuning of the LPG system. Might be worth trying to identify the system to see if it's a good one. Certainly whether it's mixer / SGI as this would have a big impact on the value IMHO.
