Title: Stuck electric window
Post by: Rockfordk on 01 April 2010, 15:40:43
My electric rear passenger window successfully wound down about six inches, and now refuses to wind back up. Is there any way of manually getting it back up whilst I can get it fixed?

Sometimes if the mechanism is just stick you can get away with getting someone to press the button whilst you "pull" the window up to unstick it. If its electrical then theres not many options wthout taking door card off and working on it that way

I've known these windows to stick on occasion.Provided the electrics and mechanicals are OK all you may need is a liberal spray of a silicone based lubricant in the window channels left overnight. Then, given a little persuasion you may find normal operation is restored.

Might be worth checking it isn't the switch too. Bit of electrical cleaner in there might do the trick. Did with mine!
