Haven't used them in heavy rain yet but they appear to be excellent so far. They clean the screen well and are virtually silent. The only slight negative I've found is that the passengers side blade doesn't quite go around the curve of the screen when they are switched off but it doesn't effect the main wipe area.

Not at all car-related, but my fave pres this year was a toilet roll holder with a built in radio :)
Yes I know it sounds awful (and yes, it looks very tacky, but it's MY toilet) .It's really handy for not missing a bit of traffic news in the morning, or a comedy show on radio 4 in the evening, or whatever. Yes I know I could have had a portable radio on the window-cill, but a) I couldn't reach it from the 'sitting' position, and b) being portable is the problem - it's portable, and ends up in the garage, shed etc.
So you all know what to ask for for your birthday!

Received prior notification that my parents couldn't think of anything to buy me this year and would be giving me a cheque :y - so I relieved them of that predicament:

I got a huge heap of tools, inc another 150pc halfords socket set (most of last set is rattling around various members engine bays!), lots of sockets on rails (halfords and clarke), 3 of those lovely clarke rachets, extension bars, those tools for removing rounded nuts, new little blowtorch thingie. Lots and lots of stuff :)
Didn't get a helicoil kit to do the sump on the tractor, so I can see a visit to a certain Nottingham resident so I can watch him demonstrate how to use them ::)

A years subscription to Top Gear Magazine, 5 Jeremy Clarkson books :o, 1 Richard Hammond book, 1 Richard Hammond Top Gear interactive DVD (which is poo)and loads of socks and undies. I must now own shares in Top Gear. I told the wife with all that reading material I am expecting pins and needles in my feet and red rings on the top of my knees from sitting on the toilet for hours ;D

Yep. Ditto. Could answer the questions easily enough but the menu system is so slow you can't answer in time >:(
Still, it'll make a nice frisbee.

Thought I saw one of those things lying in the road the other day, I thought it was a bit of LPG kit fallen off something..
Now that would have been really handy the other morning for my wheels!
