Title: Heater Problem
Post by: Pete Elite on 11 April 2010, 18:05:00
I'm having a problem still with my pre-face Elite's heater! I drove to Braintree last week and the heater wouldn't work at all, so when i got to my Daughter's i had a good look around and found that all the water pipes from the HBV were hot except the one to the top of the Matrix!
I removed the vac pipe from the top of the HBV and the heater started to work fine on every setting, replaced the pipe and still working fine but on the way home after about 25 miles it packed up again, removed the vac pipe again when i got home and it started working again(how long for?).

  Any ideas?
       Thanks,
                  Pete :).

Sounds to me like your controller is not giving the correct vac signals to the HBV.. ie .. it is applying vac when it shouldn't ... If memory serves the vac is controlled by 2 servos, possibly one of these is faulty ??

Thanks for that Entwood :). When you say controller do you mean the one in the centre of the dash?
Do you know where these servos are situated?
