I have a 2.5 td omega which up intil last week has never let me down, however she wouldnt start, so changed diesel filter and got a jump start after a friend had cracked the injectors as he said turning over too quick and eventually she fired up and was ok for the day/night got home parked up now she wont start again, am told shes still turning over too fast, but just wont fire up ..................any ideas as to why ????? :'( :'(

Wonder if there is a diesel leak (leak off pipes being most likely), and it needs bleeding every time?
What condition are bleed-offs in?
Where abouts are you (worth putting in your profile :y)

sorry I'm near Wolverhampton and dont think theres a leak as fuel getting through to injectors and smoke coming from exhaust just not firing , been told could be head gasket hope not as cant do that myself lol
-
engine turning over to fast usually means no diesel being injected, as said before leak off pipes first , has it got more than 20 litres in the tank? if not then intank pump could be dead!!

ok thanks will get them checked and let you know

Just as a quick aside, when my HG went it massively overpressurised the water system and ran on 5 cylinders, never failled to start.
Clutching at straws/shooting in the dark but could it be the diesel pump?
Ended up doing my head gasket myself and it was nowhere near as big a job as I was expecting (In fact' if you see my thread you'll see that due to a faulty first headgasket I actually ended up doing it twice, what fun >:( >:()

Is there white smoke coming from the exhaust if so unburnt fuel probably HG has gone.
Whens the last time the glowplugs were replaced, faulty plugs can lead to the engine runing faster as its trying to start and will start after some time of turning over.
no smoke fuel pump faulty.
Have you done the paper-clip test. code 82 could be there. :y

Fusable link in the glow plug relay had blown. Replacement ordered. Other than needing a good service it runs like a dream now.
