Replaced the fuse back as i took it out to stop the noise when it first starts up but seemed to make the car sound like it was blowing so put it back sounds a bit better but it has just had manifold exhaust replaced and had new back box on as the old one was blowing, any more possible plces that i need to check for the crappy blowing noise. :y

Never known the SAI pump to make it sound like the car has a blow on the exhaust (if anything, it can end up sounding like the engine is about to self destruct).
As far as checking for a leaking exhaust goes, start the car up and then block the tailpipe up....if there is a leak on the exhaust at that point then you can rest assured it will show itself immediately.

Has the rubber pipe between SAI solenoid and SAI pump split/perished?

This happened on my old 2.5, sounded exactly like an exhaust blow. The pipe had a big hole in it where it bends. IIRC it was <£10 for the new pipe and took a couple of seconds to replace.
