So put the plenium back on and was going round reconnecting things so far so good....... 8-)
Went to connect the water pipe at the front where it goes into the throttle body on the near side and the cable tray bracket is now situated in the way of the water pipe.... :o
I had earlier removed the throttle body to give it and the breather box a good clean and reassembled, but I must have done something wrong as looking at pictures on here the water pipe should be forward of the cable tray bracket? But somehow it's ended up right where the cable tray bracket bolts to the plenium and I can't get the water pipe on.... :-/ and its not like you can put the throttle body back on back to front.... :-[
I'm flummaxed :D Any ideas anyone??

Here is a picture of a complete engine:

Does that help? ;) ;)

Thanks Lizzie, but mines got the shorter plenium. :)
Looking at a pic in the maintenance guides the water pipe should be in front of the cable tray bracket, but somehow its ended up in line with the bracket! :( :(
The only thing I can think of is that when I put the throttle body back on to the plenium, I've done something wrong :-[ :-[ :-[

Sorry, I should have known that as yours is a 2.5!! :-[ :-[ :-[
I just cannot imagine what you have done, apart from bolting on the throttle body up-side down which I do not think is possible or you would do! ::) ::) ::) :D
Can you take and post a picture of how it is now?
If you cannot I am sure someone else on here can imagine what is wrong better than me. ::) ::)

Another thought! ::) ::)
Just trying to imagine what you mean, and it may be useless to you, but I remember that the water pipe clips underneath the cable tray in purpose made holder clips. :-/ :-/

Think I'll take the plenium off again tomorrow and try again ::) ::)
One step forward two steps back... :'( :'(

All the best :y :y

I'll let you know how it goes :)

I did mine today too (filthy they were!!) but thankfully had no problems on reassembly. Not quite sure what you mean, though. Refitting this water pipe is a little fiddly because it is so close to the cable tray, but I can't see that causing any issues, just put it on first, before the tray and even the ICV. Throttle body can't go on upside down, and if this pipe is your only concern then the plenum must already be correctly seated. Before you start stripping down again, post a picture to see if a problem can be spotted. :y

It can be a little tight but try so long nose pliers ;)

Thinking about it and looking at some pics, I think that I've routed some of the vac pipes wrong, so I think I'll pop the plenium off reroute the pipes and hopefully all will become clear ::) ::) ::)

So popped the plenium off today and re-routed various pipes..... then suddenly all became clear!! :y
Everything went back together nicely and she started up fine... woohoo!!! :) :) Then the EML light came on Aaaaaaaaaah!!! >:( >:( >:(
Anyway, I've done the paperclip test and got the following codes:
135 - Telltale (checklight) voltage low
87 - A/C cutoff relay voltage low
My first thought was b#@%^?ks I'm going to have to strip it all down again to see what I've done wrong, but now I'm thinking its not that bad.... In fact I think I've had these codes before and it was a blown fuse......
If anyone knows and can put my mind at rest that would be fab ;) I'd nip out and check, but the cars not at my house... :D

ignore 135.
the a/c one warrants further checking
