Title: Misfire on a 2.5CD
Post by: TR on 19 April 2010, 20:00:09
Hi there. A request if spmebody could help me out with a problem on a 2000 post facelift 2.5CD Estate. I've had the car from new and its done 120K. In the past 18 months I've had rocker gaskets and oil heat exchanger replaced by a dealer for £800 but recently engine has started to run rough.  It sounds as if it is  only running on 5 cylinders. I'm based in Leatherhead Surrey so would really appreciate it if someone could help me out or recommend a good garage in the area

Hi  many thanks for the advice  but think I've probably hit my limit in trying to get at the points on the passenger side. I don't want to remove things I might not be able to put back so looks like its a trip to the local garage. If there is fluid in the wells what is the prognosis minor or serious.
