Right guys, emergency time. I have lost my key (dont laugh) and the drivers window in open. The pikeys are in town and I dont want them to see the open window.
Can I close the window somehow?
Also, can I change the barrel without the key?
-
I think the key needs to be turned to retrieve the barrel. Drilling out the security bolts and removing the whole steering lock is probably the best option, assuming the key loss is known to be permanent. ;)
Alternatively, dealer can get in ready-cut key blades pretty quick based on car pass, VIN or reg. number, IIRC.
Don't know if the electrical switch can be withdrawn from the rear of the lock barrel? Might be the best option for enabling the electrics to wind up the window.
Failing that temporarily bridge the appropriate pins with a bit of wire.
Is the door deadlocked?
If I can help with the Tech 2 just say the word and I'll pop over. Not sure I'm any use currently as the burning issue is more mechanical.

Never tried this, but surely you can access the socket on the A post & supply power to whatever contacts required ::)

Not in a position to check, but can Tech2 control windows via Anti Theft ecu?
-
Might be able to make car look locked by removing orange clip in door pins, and letting the black/brown/beige plastic drop on metal rod? Not sure if it will drop enough though.
-
If it helps - I have a paired v6 ecu/immobiliser/transponders I can pop in post so the car is at least mobile until you are sorted? Just post back when you are done? PM me if that helps?

I know I can open and close all the windows using my "My Naff Code Reader" through the security section.

Do the pikeys REALLY tip up where you live when on their scouting missions?

I can close all your windows right now so long as the motor actually works, no problem.
Also, can I change the barrel without the key?
I can remove your ignition barrel (without the key) with no damage if you need M.
PS
Forget the motor for the windows, tell me what position you want them in and it's done regardless of whether the motor/regulator assembly works correctly or not.

There are on the grass in North Camp at the top of Queens road, too close for comfort despite the regular patrols from the MPs.

The motor works, can you talk me through it?

Again, as above or do you need to be here?
-
I can easily talk you through the window procedure mate, but the ignition barrel bit needs me (or rather, my toolbox) to be present.

I would appreciate that, the changing of the barrel can wait. Do you mind if I call you now?

You are one of the less than a handful here that are welcome to phone me.
